We collect an email address. That is very nearly the whole story.

This policy describes what Core° actually does today, not what a template says a company might do. It is deliberately short, because we currently collect very little. It will be updated — with the date above changed — when that stops being true.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you join the Founding List.
• Your first name, only if you choose to give it. The field is optional and the form works without it.
• A one-way hash of your IP address, used only to rate-limit the signup form against automated abuse. We do not store the raw IP address, and the hash cannot be reversed to recover it.

That is everything. We do not ask for, and do not have, your postal address, phone number, date of birth or payment details, because nothing on this site currently takes payment.

Why we collect it

To tell you when the Core° Shea Butter Cologne Founding Release opens, and to send you the product details — formula, weight, price, shipping — before they are public. That is the purpose you signed up for and we do not use it for anything else.

How it is stored

On Core°'s own server, in a file that sits outside the public web directory and cannot be reached from a browser. It is not in a public folder, not in a spreadsheet in the cloud, and not synced anywhere.

Plain about the limits: this is a small solo business on shared hosting, not a bank. We have taken sensible precautions — storage above the web root, restricted file permissions, rate limiting, no raw IP logging — but no system is perfect, and we would rather tell you that than imply a guarantee we cannot make.

Who we share it with

Nobody. We do not sell your data, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers or data brokers. There is currently no third-party email platform, no CRM and no advertising network holding your address.

Our web host necessarily stores the file on their infrastructure, as any host does. That is the only third party involved.

Cookies and tracking

We set no tracking cookies and run no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no advertising tag and no session recording on this site at present.

The site uses your browser's own local session storage for two cosmetic things: remembering that you have already seen the intro animation, and remembering the state of the ambient audio player. That data never leaves your device and is not sent to us.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request for the font file, as it does on a very large share of the web.

When we add analytics, this section will be rewritten and the effective date changed before any tracking is switched on.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until the Founding List has served its purpose and we retire it. We are not building an archive for its own sake.

Your choices

Email support@coregrooming.com and we will, without asking you to justify it:

• tell you exactly what we hold about you,
• correct it,
• delete it permanently,
• or remove you from the Founding List.

Every email we send will also carry a one-click unsubscribe link.

Children

Core° is a grooming brand intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their address, email us and we will remove it.

What we are not claiming

We hold no privacy certification, no third-party audit and no formal compliance badge, and we are not going to display one. If a small brand shows you a compliance seal at this stage, ask them who issued it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — a new email platform, analytics, a payment processor — we will update the effective date at the top and, where the change affects how your data is used, tell the Founding List directly rather than quietly editing the page.
